Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 29, 2026

This page is maintained by the HypeCam team and describes how the service handles personal information. It is provided for transparency and is not legal advice.

  1. 1. Overview

This policy describes what information HypeCam collects when you create or join an event, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to hosts, guests, and visitors of the site.

  2. 2. Information we collect

Account info you provide (name, email). Event details you create (title, date, camera settings). Photos and clips guests capture during an event. Basic technical data like device type, browser, and IP address to keep the service running and secure.

  3. 3. Guest data

When a guest joins via QR code, we collect the name they enter and the content they capture during the event. Guests don't need to create an account. Content is scoped to the event's shared gallery and visible to the host and other event participants.

  4. 4. How we use information

To run events (galleries, reveals, highlight reels), to process AI features (Party Crashers, photo missions, filters), to handle payments, to prevent abuse, and to communicate service updates. We do not sell personal information.

  5. 5. AI processing

Photos may be processed by AI models to apply filters, generate highlight reels, or produce Party Crasher composites. Processing happens on our infrastructure and trusted providers under confidentiality obligations; content is not used to train third-party public models.

  6. 6. Sharing & subprocessors

We share data only with providers needed to operate the service — hosting, database, storage, payments, email, and AI inference. Each is bound by contract to protect the data. We may disclose information when required by law.

  7. 7. Retention

Event galleries stay available for the retention window shown on the pricing page. Hosts can export or delete their event at any time. Account data is retained while the account is active and for a limited period after deletion for backups and legal obligations.

  8. 8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Guests can ask the event host or contact us to remove content they appear in.

  9. 9. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring to protect data. No system is perfectly secure — please report suspected vulnerabilities to us so we can investigate.

  10. 10. Children

HypeCam isn't directed at children under 13. Hosts are responsible for obtaining any required parental consent for minors participating in an event.

  11. 11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or via email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.

  12. 12. Contact
